Small vehicle transport business, Road Hog Transport, has added a MAN TGM rigid to its fleet, which will be used to haul a customised motorbike trailer that converts into a showroom.
Complete with a specialised Pantech body and tail lift, the new MAN TGM 16.290 was delivered by Penske Australia’s Brisbane dealership.
It features the latest Euro 5 AdBlue-only engine technology, without regeneration, offering reduced fuel consumption and long range service intervals; and is complete with an aerodynamically-designed, spacious LX sleeper cab.
The latest addition joins Road Hog Transport’s existing fleet of four MANs.
Some of the safety features included in the TGM model are electronic stability program (ESP), automatic braking system (ABS), anti-slip regulator (ASR) and electronically-controlled air suspension (ECAS).
“This truck is jam-packed full of features including the ISRI Air Ride driver’s seat, MAN Media Truck infotainment system with a fully integrated reverse camera for both truck and trailer, as well as a bespoke roof-mounted light bar,” said Callie Le Roux, new truck sales representative at Penske Australia.”
He added that Penske had to work closely with Road Hog Transport and the trailer manufacturer to ensure the specialised trailer with an extendable drawbar would fit perfectly with the MAN rigid.
The trailer also features an electronically-controlled air suspension system that can be operated via Bluetooth through the customer’s phone.
“We have worked with the team at Road Hog for over a decade supplying them with extraordinarily safe and efficient MANs that deliver low whole-of-life costs, and we look forward to continuing to work with the team, and seeing this TGM in its full glory as a motorbike showroom,” Mr Le Roux said.
