Darling Downs Health has announced upcoming changes for its drive-in COVID-19 testing centre at the Caltex Truck Stop on Boundary Road, Goondiwindi.
From Monday, October 19, the site will offer testing to truckies from 11.30am to 7pm, seven days a week.
“Since the Goondiwindi site was established we have continually looked at ways to provide testing to as many drivers as possible,” said Darling Downs Health Chief Executive Dr Peter Gillies.
“Feedback from heavy vehicle operators and industry bodies has indicated that we’d be likely to see more drivers coming into the site later in the day.”
Gillies added that drive-in testing is also available to travellers and heavy vehicle operators just west of Toowoomba at the Charlton BP Truckstop, with testing available from 8.30am to 4.00pm, seven days a week.
