The Queensland Trucking Association and Daimler Trucks and Bus Australia have announced the Daimler Emerging Leaders Scholarship recipients for 2020/21.
The program includes one-on-one intensive coaching, skills analysis, mentoring support, learning opportunities through development webinars and monetary contribution towards an identified training course. This year recipients will also have the opportunity to network with scholarship holders from past intakes to expand their professional opportunities.
“We are extremely pleased to once again continue our partnership with Daimler Truck and Bus Australia and QTA/Daimler Emerging Leaders Scholarship Program,” QTA CEO, Gary Mahon. “This program is now in its third year, identifying potential leadership talent and providing opportunities to cultivate leadership capability within the industry.

Ben Blennerhassett, Operations Manager, Blenners Transport
Growing up in the family transport business, Blennerhassett has lived and breathed road freight since he was young. Now working towards establishing himself as a leader within the business, he is interested in innovative trailer combinations, developments in technology and changes to the heavy vehicle national law.
Paul Windelborn, Field Service Manager/Driver Trainer-Freightliner, Daimler Truck and Bus Australia
Windelborn is passionate about the Daimler business and provides intensive training to both sales and service areas to ensure they understand the full capability and technical aspects of the Daimler products. An aspiring leader, Windelborn is motivated by achieving simple, cleaner and safer transport solutions.
Rebecca Schulz, Marketing and Communications Manager, Lindsay Australia
After leaving country NSW to pursue university, Schulz experienced the road transport industry through her work at a winery. After completing university and spending time in other sectors, she was drawn back to the transport industry which has brought her to the position she now holds at Lindsay’s. Passionate about diversity, Schulz would love to see more women working in the industry.
