As heavy rain lashes parts of Queensland and the flood situation worsens, various heavy vehicle and freight restrictions have been put in place across the road network.
Heavy rainfall is expected to hit southern and southeast Queensland today and through the night. This could lead to flash flooding in the Southeast Coast and the Darling Downs and Granite Belt districts.
Those using the road network in affected areas should be on alert and are advised not to enter flood waters.
The Queensland Trucking Association also advises that roads in and around Emerald are currently closed to all vehicles travelling under excess mass and dimension. Transport and Main Roads will review this on Wednesday March 24.
