QTA: Border Zone Entry X Pass approved

After campaigning for a common sense approach towards the use of the X Pass, the Queensland Trucking Association (QTA) says Queensland Health has approved its use from today.

The Queensland Freight Protocol has now been updated, so heavy vehicle drivers in a truck can use the Border Zone Entry X Pass to enter Queensland if they are EITHER a Queensland resident or a border zone resident entering ONLY from the NSW Border Zone and have not been in a hotspot in the past 14 days and ARE NOT not required to comply with the mandatory requirements.

The QTA shared the following information:

FOR ENTRY INTO QUEENSLAND

X Pass from the border zone – no testing requirements

– must display a current BORDER ZONE TRAVEL X PASS

F Pass from a hotspot – 7-day testing

– Must display a current Qld Border Freight and Logistics ‘F’ Pass and comply with the Qld Freight Protocol.
– Must have evidence of a negative test from past seven days and continue to be testing on a continuous 7-day cycle
– Must carry a copy of a COVID Safe Plan
– Must carry a Close contact record sheet

*Existing hotspot declarations

F Pass from affected areas – 3-day testing

Affected areas currently include: Blacktown, Campbelltown, Canterbury-Bankstown, Cumberland, Fairfield, Georges River, Liverpool and Parramatta.
– Must display a current QLD BORDER FREIGHT AND LOGISTICS ‘F’ PASS and comply with the Qld Freight Protocol.
– Must have evidence of a negative test from past seven days AND
– Evidence of having a test in past 72 hours and continue to be testing on a continuous 3 day cycle
– Must carry a copy of a COVID Safe Plan
– Must carry a Close contact record sheet

Drivers entering from anywhere else (not a hotspot) – no testing requirements

– Must have a current Australian Domestic and New Zealand Travel Pass
