Victoria lifts truck curfews to support supermarket deliveries

Truck curfews have been temporarily lifted across the state of Victoria for those delivering to supermarkets and pharmacies.

The truck curfew exemption is in place until 11:59pm, August 19, 2021.

“Greater flexibility is required in scheduling driver deliveries outside of normal operating hours so that supermarkets and pharmacies can meet an increased demand for essential goods,” said a statement from VicRoads.

“Heavy vehicles can pass time-based curfew ‘no trucks’ signs when making grocery deliveries to supermarkets or personal hygiene products to retail outlets.”
