Penske Australia has issued a recall notice for 967 Dennis Eagle Elite 2 trucks as the ABS connectors to the rear brake valves may have been incorrectly fitted.
The defect will lead to a reduction in brake performance.
“A reduction in braking performance could increase the risk of an accident and injury or death to vehicle occupants or other road users,” the recall notice reads.
The recall affects units in the model-year 2009-19, with all variants within the Elite 2 model range included.
Penske advises all owners to contact their nearest authorised dealer to arrange to have vehicle(s) repairs completed at no charge, referring to campaign number CP244.
