Following a number of serious heavy vehicle crashes in Central West NSW, including two fatal crashes, police from North West Highway Patrol joined forces with TfNSW Heavy Vehicle Inspectors for a five-day compliance blitz.
From October 25-29, Operation Convoy stopped more than 150 heavy vehicles.
The results released by police are:

- Load restraint offences 6
- Fatigue (hours) offences 27
- Work diary offences 97
- Critical and severe fatigue breaches 6
In addition, police say 156 drug tests were conducted, with no positive drug test results.
A further 50 offences were detected by light vehicle drivers.
Three positive drug tests and eight charges were laid for driving whilst disqualified, drive whilst suspended, drink driving, possess prohibited drugs and goods in custody.
