Temporary width restrictions are in force between 7pm and 5am on the Cunningham Highway at Dinmore in Queensland this week.
Vehicles exceeding 3.5 metres ground contact width and/or 5.5 metres load width must apply through the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator for an alternate heavy vehicle route, or reschedule the trip, said Transport and Main Roads (TMR).
“We are happy to accommodate for the load as long as we are aware of the width,” a TMR spokesperson said.
TMR says the restrictions will be in place from November 8 for up to five nights, weather conditions permitting, while work is being done to finalise batter slope remediation work at Aberdare Street.
“They are not related to the bridge strike earlier in the year,” the spokesperson added.
“There will be temporary partial lane closures and any width restrictions are for safety reasons.”
