Brisbane Convoy For Kids hands over $100,000 donation

Following a very successful event held last month, the Brisbane Convoy For Kids handed over a $100,000 cheque for Hummingbird House during an emotional presentation on the weekend.

Hummingbird House is Queensland’s only children’s hospice, providing short stay breaks, family support, and care for children with life-limiting conditions, and their families.

The Brisbane Convoy For Kids brought over 600 trucks together to raise money for this very worthy cause.

Though initial estimates hovered around the $60,000 mark, event organisers were delighted to hand over the six-figure sum.

“On Saturday we made the much awaited presentation to Hummingbird House from this year’s convoy. The amount was kept from everyone, including the committee, until the big reveal, where we announced a whopping $100,000 donation,” said Brisbane Convoy for Kids treasurer Leanne Prince.

“Once again, the men and women, and their families, have rallied to the cause and showed their generosity to assist Brisbane Convoy for Kids continue to help the kids of Queensland.”
