There will be temporary width restrictions put in place later this week on a section of the Flinders Highway while asphalt works are carried out.
From Friday February 11 to Wednesday February 16 (6am to 6pm daily), width restrictions will be in place over Scrubby Creek and Holy Joe Creek, which is located on the Flinders Highway (Julia Creek – Cloncurry).
Vehicles with a ground contact width or load width exceeding 3.5m must contact the site contact (Mike McCulloch on 0417 944 353 or 0420 368 489) at least 24 hours before arrival on site. Failure to do so may result in delays.
Scrubby Creek is located approximately 70km west of Julia Creek on the Flinders Highway and Holy Joe Creek is located approximately 40km west of Julia Creek on the Flinders Highway.
Works will involve a single lane closure under traffic control and reduced speed of 40km/h, with delays expected.
