Road crews have reopened the 166km stretch of Bruce Highway from Brisbane to Traveston, Transport and Main Roads (TMR) Queensland announced earlier today.
The highway remains closed from Traveston to Gympie, with significant flooding still occurring in Gympie and further north to Maryborough.
The Mary Valley Link Road Interchange at Traveston is as far as you can head right now on the Bruce Highway to the north.
TMR said that the Bruce Highway’s been re-opened to its full capacity wherever possible, but there are some sections of single lane closures and reduced speed limits for southbound traffic while we complete repair work.
“Please follow all signs and directions, pay attention, always drive to the conditions and only travel if you need to. Make sure you check QLDTraffic for the latest updates before you head out.”
