The NorthConnex tunnel in Sydney will be closed in both directions later this week for testing of emergency management systems, advises the feight branch of Transport for NSW.
This will occur between West Pennant Hills and Wahroonga from 9:30pm, Wednesday, March 9, to 5am, Thursday, March 10, weather permitting.
All traffic can detour via Pennant Hills Road to join the M1 at Wahroonga or the M2 at West Pennant Hills.
Heavy vehicles will not be fined for using Pennant Hills Road during the closure, said the freight team notice.
