Alcoa Wheels Australia has announced the appointment of a new state manager for Victoria and Tasmania.
Jeremy Lane, 52, started in the new role in early May and brings 30 years of experience in the tyre and wheel industry to his new position.
After completing his commerce degree in 1992, Lane was offered a cadetship with tyre retail and repair company Beaurepaires. He spent 10 years there, followed by various roles with tyre and wheel wholesalers.
“I’ve been in the industry all my working life and am excited to part of the Alcoa team. Alcoa Wheels is an entrenched brand in Australia. It’s a premium product in the market within its space, with a very supportive original equipment base,” Lane said.
“I’m looking forward to forging a career with Alcoa Wheels, because they’re a very stable and long, endearing company, with longstanding employees.”
Alcoa Wheels national sales manager Michael Nichols, who made the appointment, said Lane’s experience and work ethic was a perfect fit for the role which will see him helping customers get the most out of the Alcoa wheel products, as well as partnering with fleets to find the best solutions for their business.
“With his sales experience and decades within the transport industry, Jeremy will make an excellent addition to the Alcoa Wheels team. He has many strengths and a great attitude that we believe will be well-received by our customers,” Nichols said.
