The National Transport Commission (NTC) is currently conducting a full review of the Australian Dangerous Goods Code (the ADG Code), which will result in an updated version of the code, planned for 2024.
An information webinar will held on June 23 from 2-4pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time). During the webinar, the NTC will share details about what could change and the process they’ll follow while reviewing the code.
The NTC says “a high-level update of the ADG Code” happens every two years. This will however be the first full review since the seventh edition was released in 2007.
According to the NTC, the review will offer an opportunity for Australia to better align with international and intermodal practices; and leverage international processes to ensure all aspects of the code are regularly updated. Thus making it easier for Australia to participate in the global economy.
