The freight branch of Transport for NSW has advised operators that the New England Highway at Maitland has closed due to flooding.
The highway is also expected to close at Singleton shortly. It is unlikely the highway will reopen to traffic for the next 24 hours, said the freight branch.
The Golden Highway at Whittingham remains closed.
Where possible heavy vehicle drivers should delay their journeys or check their relevant Enforceable Network Map (RAV, PBS, OSOM, SPV) and LiveTraffic.com to find an appropriate available route:
