The Oxley Highway will be closed for six days, between Knodingbul and Forbes River Roads, from July 19-24, advises the freight branch of Transport for NSW (TfNSW).
TfNSW said the essential work is part of the continuing major restoration of the Oxley Highway at Mount Seaview to reinstate the road to pre-2021 flood condition.
“We need to remove a significant amount of landslide debris from a landslip site before it deteriorates. To do this safely we need to close the road,” the notice said.
“Plan an alternative route via Waterfall Way or New England Highway if your trip must take place during the closure period.
“Thank you for your patience while we carry out this work.”
Weather permitting, the work will start from 7am, Tuesday, July 19, to 5pm, Sunday, July 24.
