There are two partial closures coming up over the next two weeks on the M1 Pacific Motorway in Queensland. Here’s the details.
The closures will apply to the Yatala South (Exit 41) interchange due to upgrades.
The Australian and Queensland governments have committed a total of $82.137 million (on a 50:50 basis) to upgrade the Yatala South interchange.
The upgrades are aimed at improving safety and traffic flow by keeping traffic moving through the upgraded interchange.
The project will include a new bridge across the M1 with additional lanes, the upgrade of roundabouts to traffic signals and the relocation of on-ramps and off-ramps.
From tonight (November 18) at 9pm until Monday November 21 at 4am, there will be no access through the eastern side of the interchange, along with limited access through the western side of the interchange.
The following weekend, from Friday November 25 at 9pm until Monday November 28 at 4am, there will be access through the eastern side of the interchange only.
NHVR has advised that southbound M1 motorists can access the south eastern side of the interchange (Lahrs Road/Notar Drive) via the new Exit 41 southbound off-ramp.
While northbound M1 motorists can access the north western side of the interchange (Cuthbert Drive northern section) via the new Exit 41 northbound off-ramp.
All other motorists will need to access local roads via Exit 38 (Yatala North) or Exit 45 (Ormeau).
