Hay run heroes spread joy on Australia Day

Need For Feed Australia’s volunteers have been at it again, with their annual Australia Day hay run this time heading into Forbes, NSW.

Almost 20 trucks of feed for flood affected farmers arrived in Forbes yesterday.

The Forbes Lions looked after the Need For Feed volunteers and farmers by preparing a dinner.

The Australia Day hay run has been a regular fixture on Need For Feed’s calendar, with this year’s voyage marking the 17th year.

Need For Feed aims to deliver hay to farmers who need it most.

Need For Feed volunteers met at Cobram on the Victorian side of the border on Australia Day eve, before setting off the next morning bound for Forbes.

On Australia Day weekend, deliveries were also made to various areas in Victoria too.
