Driver killed in truck rollover at Garvoc, Victoria

Police are investigating a fatal truck crash at Garvoc in Victoria’s southwest this morning.

It is understood a milk tanker rolled on Sisters-Garvoc Road about 12.30am.

Sadly, the male driver and sole occupant of the truck died at the scene.

The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.

It’s the latest in a disturbing series of fatalities involving truck drivers in recent weeks.

So far this year, 62 people have died in truck crashes, including 19 truck drivers, according to figures from the Transport Workers’ Union.
