Transport for NSW are advising road users of changed traffic conditions from Thursday on the Pacific Highway to carry out pavement repair at Tabbimobile, four kilometres north of Bundjalung rest area.
Starting Thursday, April 27, work will be carried out weekdays from 7am to 6pm and is expected to take about three weeks to complete, weather permitting.
For up to two weeks motorists will travel on the southbound carriageway, with one lane operating in each direction. Following this there will be single lane closure on the northbound carriageway.
Traffic control and reduced speed limits of 40km/h will be in place 24/7 for the duration of the work.
Motorists should allow up to five minutes extra travel time.
Width (3.5 metre) restrictions will be in place for the duration of this work.
Drivers of over size and over mass (OSOM) vehicles, northbound and southbound, are required to provide advance notice by contacting the site supervisor on 0418 491 239 at least one hour prior to arrival at site.
OSOM vehicles can expect delays of up to 30 minutes.
Motorists are advised to drive to conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
