Fuso Shoguns recalled due to engine labelling issue

Daimler Truck Australia Pacific has issued a recall notice for 525 units in the year range of 2021-22.

Due to a manufacturing issue, the vehicle type approval labelling required to be displayed on the engine was not fixed to the vehicles.

Although there are no safety hazards, in the absence of the necessary labelling, vehicles may not meet required standards in line with state and territories in Australia. This may impact a vehicle inspection or impact the sale of the vehicle, said Daimler.

The variants affected are FP74, FS72, FS76, FV70, and FV74.

Owners of affected vehicles should contact their authorised Daimler commercial vehicle dealership to make arrangements to have the work carried out as soon as possible, free of charge. Pre-arrangements are necessary.
