Temporary width and reduced speed limit restrictions will soon be in place on a section of Flinders Highway at Pentland Rail Overpass, located approximately 144km west of Charters Towers.
Change in traffic conditions will remain in place between 7am and 4.30pm each day from Tuesday, May 23 to Sunday, May 28.
Oversize vehicle and wide loads exceeding 3.0m in width cannot cross this structure during these times.
From Monday, May 22 to Friday, June 2, single lane operation will be in place with the speed limit reduced to 60km/h.
Road users are advised to drive with caution and obey all signage.
The Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is continuously monitoring, assessing and reviewing roads, bridges and culverts across the state.
TMR is advising all drivers that road conditions can change quickly, particularly due to weather. Restrictions are implemented to maintain ongoing safety for all road users.
