Latest truck recalls: Fuso and Iveco models impacted

Here’s a round-up of the latest recall notices impacting owners of Fuso Shogun and Iveco trucks.

Fuso Shogun

Variants: FP7, FS7, FU7, FV7
Year range: 2019 – 2021
Affected units: 483

Due to manufacturing defect, the parking brake lamp on the meter cluster may illuminate when the parking brake lever is released and the vehicle is in motion. This may cause the EZGO and the hill holder to not operate as intended.

If the EZGO and the hill holder does not operate as intended, it may increase the risk of an accident causing serious injuries or death to vehicle occupants or/and other road users.

When parts become available, owners will be contacted by Daimler Truck to have their vehicle rectified, free of charge.

Iveco

Model: S WAY AS NP, X WAY AS NP, S WAY AT/AD NP, S WAY AS , S WAY AT-AD
Year range: 2022
Affected units: 88

Due to a manufacturing issue, the cab tilt cylinder pin may have been incorrectly welded and could detach from the bracket when the cab is tilted.

If the cab tilt cylinder pin detaches from the bracket, it may increase the risk of injury or death to a person near or underneath the vehicle.

Owners of affected vehicles are advised to contact their authorised IVECO workshop or a dealer for an inspection and necessary work carried out, free of charge.

Iveco

Model: ACCO E5 4X2, ACCO E5 6X4 COMPACTOR, ACCO E5 6X2, 6X4 VOC, ACCO E5 8X4
Variants: Compactor Bodies Only
Year range: 2013 – 2019
Affected units: 1117

Due to manufacturing defect, the front axle knuckle may crack over time. This may result in the separation between the stub axle and the steering arm, leading to loss of steering control.

A loss of steering control could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.

Owners of affected vehicles should contact their authorised IVECO workshop or a dealer to have the necessary work carried out free of charge.
