Truckies will have to plan their rest stops accordingly as a redevelopment of the southbound service centre on the Hume Highway at Pheasants Nest, News South Wales kicks off today.
The southbound highway service centre will remain temporarily closed between Wednesday, June 21 and Monday, June 26.
From 10am today, toilet facilities remain open but there is no access to the Ampol shop and fuel services.
There will be no access to the highway service centre on Thursday, June 22 between 4am and 4pm. The loop road and toilet facilities will reopen from 4pm.
Drivers can view alternative rest area locations at the Transport for NSW Rest Area Map.
The new highway service centre will fully reopen around 12pm Monday 26 June.
