A recall notice has been issued for 623 Freightliner Cascadia trucks in the year range 2020-21.
Due to a manufacturing defect, the spline teeth of the windshield wiper arms on those trucks may deteriorate and could result in loss of wiper function.
“Non-functioning wipers could lead to impaired visibility for the driver and in certain conditions, may pose a hazard to the driver and other road users,” said the notice.
Owners of affected vehicles should contact an authorised Daimler Commercial Vehicle dealership and make arrangements to have the windshield wiper arms inspected and if required replaced, free of charge.
