Truck driver killed in crash on Bruce Highway near Gladstone

A 64-year-old Lockyer Valley truck driver has died after a single-vehicle accident on the Bruce Highway overnight.

Queensland Police say the crash occured some time before 9pm on Sunday, August 6, with the truck discovered by a passing motorist at the Raglan Creek Bridge near Mount Larcom, about 30km west of Gladstone.

According to the Gladstone Observer, the refrigerated van truck was found lying in the creek bed.

The Bruce Highway was closed for several hours, but lanes reopened just after 7am with traffic limited to 40km/h.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident, and police are also appealing for anyone with information relevant to this crash to contact them online, or by calling 131 444.
