David “Butch” Butcher and William Cockerell, both from Geelong, were stopped at Little River on their way from Melbourne to home.
They were driving a Rocke Brother’s 2016 FH500 Volvo and Butcher told us he has been on the road for 20 years all up, and Cockerell for five years, but new to this job, just one week, and still learning the ropes.
They both reckon it’s a great job and a top outfit, and a regular run which gets them home daily. We noted that Butch barracks for Carlton, and William for Richmond.
