A 30-year-old truckie has been killed in a two-truck crash at Bookabie on the Eyre Highway, SA, in the early hours of Thursday morning, September 8.
Police said emergency services were called to the state’s far west coast after reports of an incident there just before 12.30am.
The driver of one truck, a 30-year-old man from Clearview, sadly died at the scene.
The second driver, a 58-year-old man from Elizabeth Downs, suffered minor injuries and was taken to the local hospital.
Major crash investigators were at the site later the same day to determine the cause of the collision.
The man’s death is the 79th live lost on South Australian roads this year compared to 52 at the same time last year.
