Upcoming road closure on Gore Hill Freeway

Due to maintenance work, a road closure will be in place on the Gore Hill Freeway off-ramp at the Pacific Highway.

The maintenance work will involve laying asphalt to create a smoother road surface.

On Wednesday September 13, the Gore Hill Freeway off-ramp at the Pacific Highway intersection will be closed between 8pm and 5am for one night with the following detours in place:

  • Light vehicles will detour via: Epping Road, Centennial Avenue, Mowbray Road West and Pacific Highway.
  • Heavy vehicles will detour via: Longueville Road, Epping Road, Lane Cove Road, Ryde Road and Pacific Highway.

Transport for NSW advises the detour may add up to 45 minutes to journeys, so allow extra travel time. Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic controllers.

Access to properties in and near the work zone will be maintained during the work.

On Thursday September 14, asphalting work will continue for one night, weather and worksite conditions permitting.

Partial lane closures and a reduced speed limit will be in place on this night between Hampden Road and the Merrenburn Avenue overpass.

Variable Message Signs (VMS) will advise road closure dates prior to the start of work.
