Dealer principal Charlie Hartwig is now at the helm of the business that was started by his great-great-grandfather in 1923.
He said the 100-year milestone for the family business was a testament to his team’s genuine relationships with customers and exceptional products.
“Since my great-great-grandfather first started our business in 1923, the team at Hartwigs has invested time and energy into our customer relationships, obtaining a deep understanding of customer requirements,” said Charlie.
“The other half of the equation is the superior products we receive from Western Star Trucks, MAN Truck & Bus, Dennis Eagle, and Detroit that our team can fully stand behind.”
Hartwigs is a long-standing Penske Australia dealer and is celebrating 100 years of serving truck customers in south-central NSW, ACT and northern Victoria.
Representing the Western Star Trucks, MAN Truck & Bus, Dennis Eagle, and Detroit brands, the team at Hartwigs has served customers through its dealerships in Queanbeyan and Shepparton.
“We’re incredibly proud to still be a thriving Aussie business after all this time and look forward to continuing to grow our services as we’ve done for the last 100 years,” Charlie said.
Executive general manager of on-highway at Penske Australia, Craig Lee, added that achieving 100 years in business is a remarkable achievement for any organisation. “And it’s no surprise that the team at Hartwigs has achieved this,” he said.
