To allow the West Gate Tunnel Project to commence construction of a new bridge and elevated roadway, road closures will be in place in Melbourne’s CBD from 8pm Sunday October 8 until early December.
Wurundjeri Way will be closed in both directions between Dudley Street and Bourke Street, with only local access to Marvel Stadium from Flinders Street direction.
Dudley Street will be closed in both directions between Footscray Road and Spencer Street, with only local access to Adderley Street.
For those who are unable to operate on a permitted route or an approved network for an alternative route during the closure of Wurundjeri Way, the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator has advised that an amend application should be submitted through the NHVR Portal.
Updates to networks for Performance Based Standards (PBS) vehicles between 68.5t to 85.5t will be available on the day of the closure.
