Cummins has issued a recall notice for X15e5 engines in the year range 2018-2021.
Due to a software issue with the Engine Control Module (ECM), the vehicle may release air pollutants that exceed the standards set in Australian Design Rule (ADR) 80/03.
There is no safety hazard and the defect will not affect the performance of the vehicle, but impacted vehicles may not be compliant with the ADR 80/03 – Emission Control for Heavy Vehicles, the notice said.
There are 8262 affected units.
Owners of affected vehicles are asked to contact an authorised Cummins service providers and quote campaign number C2740 to book their vehicle in for repair, free of charge.
