Penske Australia is recalling 289 trucks in its MAN TG series between the year range 2020-2022.
Due to a defect during assembly, the lock nut securing the steering draglink to the pitman arm may not have been tightened sufficiently and could become loose.
If this occurs, the vehicle may experience a sudden loss of steering control, the recall notice said.
The models affected are: TG-A 6X4, TGA 6X6, TGA 8×8, and TG 3-AXLE.
Owners of affected vehicles should contact their nearest MAN dealer to arrange to have their vehicle inspected and the work carried out, free of charge.
