MaxiPARTS Limited has acquired Nineteen Group Pty Ltd and its subsidiary Independant Parts Pty Ltd in a $27 million cash deal.
The company also announced that Förch Australia will acquire Förch Brisbane for $1.9 million, in a purchase jointly funded by MaxiPARTS and minority shareholders Förch Australia.
MaxiPARTS is a major independent commercial vehicle parts distribution company, with 27 sites located across Australia, while Independant Parts Pty Ltd (IP) is a privately owned commercial truck and trailer parts distribution company operating in Western Australia.
IP has four retail sites in WA – Perth, Port Hedland, Geraldton, and Bunbury.
MaxiPARTS say the acquisition will enhance their presence in Western Australia, adding three additional stores after the consolidation and establishing strong partnerships with national logistics and mining customers in critical mining regions, including the Goldfields and Pilbara mid-west region.
All employees at IP will remain with the business, and legal entity details will remain unchanged.
MaxiPARTS Managing Director and CEO, Peter Loimaranta, expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition.
“The acquisition of IP is an exciting step forward in the expansion of MaxiPARTS and is fully aligned with our stated acquisition criteria,” he said.
The purchase of Förch Brisbane is a 100 per cent asset acquisition, including inventory, fixed assets, intellectual property, and employees.
The deal consolidates the Förch Australia distribution model and establishes a third warehouse facility in Brisbane to complement the company’s warehouses in Perth and Melbourne.
The acquisitions are expected to be completed by the end of this year.
