A 40-year-old truckie has died following a truck rollover at Clairview earlier today, November 27.
Initial investigations indicate at approximately 11.40am, a truck was travelling south along the Bruce Highway between Mackay and Rockhampton when it left the road and rolled.
A Queensland Ambulance Services spokesman said three ambulance crews had attended the scene and had assessed one patient for critical injuries.
The Queensland Police later confirmed that the driver, a 40-year-old Andergrove man, was declared deceased at the scene.
Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing.
The tragedy comes just a week after a Mackay man died in hospital from injuries sustained when his truck left the Bruce at St Lawrence, south of Mackay, and crashed into a tree on November 7.
