Daimler Truck recalls Mercedes-Benz Actros and Arocs models

recall

Daimler Truck Australia Pacific has issued a recall notice for 155 of its Mercedes-Benz Actros and Arocs models in the year range 2022-23.

The recall is because the threaded connections securing the oil pressure line may not have been tightened sufficiently.

As a result, oil could leak into the engine bay and accumulate in the presence of an ignition source resulting in a vehicle fire.

“A vehicle fire could increase the risk of serious injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users and bystanders, and/or damage to property,” the notice said

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by an authorised Daimler Commercial Vehicle Dealership in writing and should have rectification work carried out as soon as possible, free of charge.

Alternatively, a full list of authorised dealerships can be found at mercedes-benz-trucks.com, or by calling 1800 033 557.
