Trucks and trailer stolen during burglary at Little River, Victoria

burglary

Thieves have made off with three prime movers and a trailer after forcing their way into a home in Little River, Victoria, sometime between New Year’s Day and January 2.

It is understood the offenders smashed a window to gain entry, before allegedly ransacking the house, punching holes in the wall and stealing keys for three trucks that were parked at the Narraburra Road address.

Police say the offenders stole a white MAN prime mover with Victorian registration XV42ZX, a white DAF truck with NSW registration XN42YZ and a white Volvo prime mover with Tasmanian registration C00AY.

They also allegedly stole a truck trailer with Victorian registration XV42ZX.

Detectives are investigating if the alleged burglary is linked to another residential burglary over the same period at a rural property on Boadles Lane.

Police say the offenders gained entry to the home and ransacked the house before stealing a safe containing six registered firearms.

The fireplaces in both homes were also rummaged through by offenders prior to them leaving.

Investigators have released images of the stolen trucks and trailer, in the hope someone with information comes forward with more information.

The firearms stolen include an Emerald, Adler and Stirling shotgun, a Sturm Ruger 22, Norica air rifle and a Savage rifle.
