No heavy vehicle access on NSW bridge

Truck drivers are advised that vehicles weighing over 4.5 tonnes will not be permitted to access Raleigh Bridge, NSW for approximately four months, while maintenance work is being undertaken.

Work has already commenced on the bridge, which is on Keevers Drive at Raleigh, and will continue on weekdays from 6am to 6pm and Saturdays from 8am to 1pm for about four months, weather permitting.

Single lane closures, alternating traffic flow arrangements and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place intermittently during work hours.

Access to either side of the river is via the respective Pacific Highway interchanges – Mailman’s Track Road for traffic heading south, and Waterfall Way interchange for traffic heading north.

Variable message signs will be in place, and motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the direction of traffic control.

Delays of up to 10 minutes should be expected during work hours.

Waterway users are advised that intermittent channel closures restricting normal vessel use will be required during this work, for the safety of workers and waterway users.

Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
