Save the date for these 2024 trucking events

2024 is shaping up to be an exciting year for events, with truckloads of fun for all the family. Here are some days out to put in your diaries!

JANUARY 

Tooradin Truck Show and Tractor Pull

January 20, 2024  
Tooradin, VIC 

The Tooradin Tractor Pull & Truck Show has been an annual event since 1998 and has grown into a family fun day with lots to see and do, from helicopter rides to kids’ amusements. Held at Rutter Park Reserve, the Truck Show runs from 10am to 3pm, with tractors from 3pm to 10pm. It is a non-profit event, with all proceeds going back into the local community. Adults $35, kids $10 (kids under 10 free), pensioners $15, family $65.  

Koroit Truck Show

January 27, 2024 

Koroit, VIC 

Held at Victoria Park over the Australia Day weekend, the Koroit Truck Show is a family-friendly event with heaps to see and do. The park comes alive with a large truck display, a state wood shopping competition, live music, trade and market stalls. You’ll also get a chance to see extra special entertainment: a motorcycle performance, the popular truckie sprint and Scania tug-of-war.  

Allora Heritage Weekend

January 27-28, 2024 
Allora Showgrounds, QLD 

The Allora Heritage Weekend promises lots of fun for all the family, with displays of vintage and veteran cars and trucks, antiques, historical machinery, and more. There will be a swap meet from 6am both days, and camping is also available. For more info contact Graeme on 0428717623.  

FEBRUARY

Heritage Vehicle and Machinery Display

February 3-4, 2024

Lardner Park, VIC 

Organised by the Baw Baw Old Engine and Auto Club/Trafalgar Truck Restorers Club, this show brings together trucks, cars, stationary engines and vintage machinery/vehicles (anything over 25 years old). Camping is available for exhibitors, with Saturday night dinner bookings essential. Admittance: adult $15.00, children over 12 $5.00, children under 12 free.

National Road Freighters Association Annual Conference

February 10, 2024
The Woolshed @ Emerald Bank, Shepparton, VIC

The NRFA will be holding its annual conference on Saturday February 10. The theme of the conference this year is “Reforming our Industry”.  Three panels will take place over the course of the day, with the first two sessions discussing the Closing the Loopholes Bill and the third session addressing the HVNL2 Review. After the conference, attendees are encouraged to head to the nearby Museum of Vehicle Evolution for drinks and a look around, followed by dinner at The Woolshed. Merton Show ‘n’ Shine

February 11, 2024 

Merton, VIC 

Join in for a fun-filled day at the Merton Show ’n’ Shine. This once-off event will feature classic trucks, cars, bikes and farm machinery, as well as market stalls, food trucks, kids’ entertainment and more. Entries for judging will close at 12pm, with winners announced at 1pm for vehicle of the show, best modified car, and real restoration. All money raised will go toward funding community projects such as sporting facilities, upkeep/restoration of the Memorial Hall and Recreation Reserve, and helping local families in need. 

Camp Quality Geelong Convoy

February 18, 2024
Beckley Park, VIC

Camp Quality’s Convoy Geelong is a fun way for anyone who drives a truck or motorbike to show their support for kids and families experiencing the challenging realities of a cancer diagnosis. The convoy will travel a 43km route, starting and finishing at Beckley Park, taking in Lara, Corio, Waurn Ponds and Geelong. Attendees can also look forward to a Show and Shine, with rides and entertainment taking place throughout the day.

Livestock Bulk and Rural Carriers Association Conference

February 23-24, 2024 
Wagga Wagga, NSW  

The annual LBRCA conference, held at the Range Clay Target Shooting Range and Function Centre, is a gathering of fellow truck owners and drivers, government, suppliers and industry representatives to focus on the needs of rural and regional heavy vehicle transporters. Issues range from unfair infringements and regulation to unsafe loading and unloading facilities. Attendees can also expect a trade exhibition, the Young Driver of the Year Award presentation, Gala Dinner and Auction Spectacular. 

Craigieburn Car, Truck & Bike Show

Feb 25, 2024 
Craigieburn Central, VIC 

Craigieburn’s ninth annual Car, Truck & Bike Show is coming back, with live music, trophies, door prizes and much more. Running from 10am to 2pm, it promises fun for all the family. Entry is $20 per car and truck, $10 per bike and free for the general public, with funds raised going towards the Isabella and Marcus Paediatric Brainstem Tumour fund.
Trade stands welcome. 

MARCH 

Lockhart Heritage Truck Show

March 3, 2024
Lockhart Showground, NSW

The Lockhart Heritage Truck Show is coming back for its 15th year at the Lockhart Showground. Incorporating the National Historic Truck and Commercial Vehicle show, its focus in 2024 will be  supporting the health and well-being of truck drivers, in conjunction with OzHelp Foundation. In addition to the display of historic trucks and other vehicles, the fun will continue on into the evening with a Country Concert until dark. Tasmanian Truck Owners & Operators Annual Truck Run

The Tasmanian Truck Owners & Operators Annual Truck Run is back this March, heading from Glebe to Longford Showgrounds. Join in the fun and help raise some much-needed funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Tasmania.

QTA Diversity in Transport Breakfast

After 12 years of the QTA International Women’s Day Breakfast, the association is making a change, launching a new event to project the growing diversity in the transport and logistics workforce. The aim is to encourage workplaces to embrace a more contemporary mindset around how the industry is promoted, and who will form the workforce of the future.

The breakfast will feature a professionally facilitated panel of speakers, who will share their personal experiences and insights. Speakers include Bronwen Howell (Director of the VE Group, 2023 QTA Trucking Woman of the Year) and Drew Hipwood (Manager of Corporate Affairs, IOR). Tickets are $88 per person or $670 for a table of eight and bookings can be made via this link.

Kyabram Mack Muster

The Kyabram Mack Muster is a must-attend for Mack fans, featuring all Mack models and associated brands, but it’s also open to other truck makes. There’s free entry for exhibitors, with a Friday BBQ at the showgrounds and a meal at the Kyabram Club with a guest speaker on the Saturday night. VTA State Conference

March 17-19, 2024
Phillip Island, VIC 

Technology, artificial intelligence, and cyber-security are just a handful of the issues that are currently impacting the transport industry. This year’s VTA State Conference, held at the Silverwater Resort on Phillip Island, will look ahead and examine Future Freight Landscapes and their consequences for modern freight and logistics operations. Experts from the transport industry, regulators, academia, and the government will be present to inform the discussion. Ticket prices start at $638.  

LRTAQ/ALRTA Combined National Conference

March 21-23
The Goods Shed, Toowoomba, QLD

The Livestock and Rural Transporters Association of Queensland (LRTAQ) will be hosting its annual conference in partnership with the Australian Livestock and Rural Transporters Association (ALRTA).

LRTAQ members, industry members, suppliers, service providers and government representatives are all invited to attend to receive the latest updates, discuss the future of our industry, and enjoy great social events.

WA Mack Muster and Truck Show

March 24, 2024

Byford, WA 

The WA Mack Muster and Truck Show brings Mack and other truck model enthusiasts together at the beautiful Quarry Farm in Byford, WA. The grassroots, family-friendly muster experience promises a fun day out with a truck display, food trucks, a kids’ zone, exhibits, local trucking celebrities and more. The committee raises money for cancer research and encourages everyone to get involved. 

APRIL

Colac Truck & Ute Show

Colac, VIC
April 6

The Colac Truck & Ute Show is a joint fundraiser for the Volunteer Emergency Services of the Colac Community, a collaborative effort of the Colac Fire Brigade and Colac SES Unit. They are back for their second annual event, which includes a Show ‘n’ Shine, children’s entertainment, live music, general stalls and food. Lots to do for the whole family! MAY 

TruckShowX

May 13-14, 2024
Cape Shanck, VIC

A spin-off of the Brisbane Truck Show, TruckShowX will deliver expert advice and insights on the steps required to make a move to low- and zero-emissions transport, with keynote presentations from local and global leaders in ZEV adoption, as well as key policy makers. There will be an expo showcasing the latest low- and zero-emissions vehicles and related technologies, as well as a drive-day opportunity to get behind the wheel of the latest low- and zero-emissions vehicles.

Sydney TruckFest

May 3–5, 2024  
Clarendon, NSW  

Held at Hawksebury Showground, Sydney TruckFest is a major celebration of the trucking industry, showcasing the latest developments in transport technology, equipment, accessories and much more. There is a dedicated section for older vehicles, but the focus is on highlighting new vehicles and advancements. Attendees can also look forward to lots of entertainment, with performers Baylou and The James Brothers already confirmed.   

JUNE

Alexandra Truck, Ute & Rod Show

June 9, 2024
Alexandra, VIC

The Alexandra Truck Show is back on the long weekend in June next year, with a Sunday Show ‘n Shine on the town’s main street, as well as live music, a Victorian woodchop tournament, exhibitions, trade displays, kids’ amusements and a raffle. Come down on Saturday for the local markets, a convoy and truck driver’s memorial service at 2pm and sponsors’ dinner at 6pm.
