Victorian drivers can expect disruption today following a trailer fire on the M80 Ring Road, as well as delays linked to another incident and several road closures due to flooding.
Two Altona-bound lanes are closed on the M80 near Boundary Road, with only the right lane remaining open, and delays are pushing back to the Western Highway.
The fire is now under control and emergency services are on the scene.
There’s also Greensborough-bound delays between the Calder Freeway and Pascoe Vale Road following a collision and rollover.
Speed and lane restrictions remain in place and crews are working to clear the scene.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a road weather alert for all suburbs of Melbourne, as the area is battered by heavy rain.
Vic Traffic has urged motorists to slow down, keep extra braking distance between them and the vehicle in front, and keep their lights on.
