Drivers can rest easy with Webasto’s parking coolers

Using a parking cooler in your truck cabin can regulate the temperature and humidity during rest and sleep stops.

Drivers can rest and recover optimally, leading to increased alertness and safety while driving. A parking cooler can decrease operating costs by not running the engine unnecessarily, which minimises wear and harmful emissions and in turn saves on fuel costs.

Webasto has been providing comfort solutions for the bus and truck market since 1965, and they have an impressive truck portfolio with high-quality products that are perfect for the harsh Australian summer.

They offer a range of parking coolers suitable for most applications. Webasto’s Cool Split 20 is set to receive an upgrade this year, introducing the new Cool Split 20 Evo. Still with a cooling capacity of 2 kW, this enhanced version will be available in 12 or 24 volts and features a rear-mounted design with a variable-speed compressor powered by an inbuilt DC to AC inverter, saving cabin space and streamlining installation time.

The unit comes equipped with a programmable control panel and a multifunction infrared remote control, along with a quiet 4-speed fan featuring adjustable vents. Safety is a priority with low-pressure, thermal, tilt, and high-voltage earth leakage protection, as well as low battery voltage protection.

The Fresco 3000 is a 12 or 24-volt, 950-watt, DC-powered split system air-conditioning unit.

It comprises a condenser mounted on the external rear wall of the cabin and an evaporator installed on the interior cabin wall, allowing maximum flexibility in positioning the separate components. Its lightweight, low-profile design means it’s suitable for most applications without compromising fuel load or chassis space.

Completing Webasto’s range of truck cooling is their Cool Top RTE 16, an effective, lightweight, 24-volt electric parking cooler. The powerful 1.6Kw rooftop air conditioning system is available with a wide choice of specific truck model mounting kits, allowing easy installation via the vehicle’s roof hatch. The system is controlled using a digital display panel and/or a handy remote control. It offers automatic temperature control and individual temperature and fan speed adjustments. It also provides an adjustable low battery voltage cut-off to ensure that the engine will always start.

Webasto also offers isotherm compressor fridges for the truck market, ranging in size and style from a 16L and 30L drawer fridge/freezer up to a 49L upright refrigerator. These fridges help to keep drinks and food as fresh as possible while on the road.

Webasto products are available Australia-wide through their authorised truck sales and service dealer network, and all Webasto products are covered by a two-year warranty. For more details go to webasto.com or call 1800 244 494.
