Queensland operator praises staff for their efforts in keeping the wheels turning

With ex-tropical Cyclone Kirrily stirring up quite the storm in parts of Queensland, this transport operator has praised its road train drivers and staff for stepping up and getting the job done.

With many roads cut off due to flooding in north-west Queensland, and making deliveries almost impossible, Followmont says its linehaul drivers and staff showed unwavering dedication to the communities affected.

“When the going got tough, our leaders wasted no time in rallying the troops to tackle the backlog of freight destined for Mt Isa and Cloncurry in record time,” Followmont said.

“The team pulled together, understanding the importance of their mission and our commitment to delivering urgent supplies to those in need. They loaded our Followmont road trains to head out west through Winton and back up north, going the extra mile to get the job done!

“You’ve made a real difference in the lives of those communities. Well done team and thank you!”
