Paccar recalls over 1000 Kenworth T360 models

Paccar Australia has issued a recall notice for 1197 of its Kenworth T360 models due to a manufacturing defect in the vehicle’s air system.

The affected variants are the T360 and T360A and are in the year range 2018-2023.

The notice says that the defect may cause a delay in charging the front brake circuit.

“This could result in a loss of braking performance of the front brakes,” the notice reads.

“Rear axle and trailer braking are not impacted by this issue.”

According to the notice, affected units are not compliant with Australian Design Rule 35/06 – Commercial Vehicle Brake Systems, and must be rectified to ensure a fully functional and safe braking system.

A warning lamp and buzzer will activate in case of low brake pressure, the notice adds.

Owners of affected vehicles are asked to immediately contact their preferred Kenworth dealership to have the work carried out, free of charge.
