A huge crowd descended on Cragieburn Central shopping centre in Victoria yesterday for the annual Cragieburn Car, Truck and Bike Show.
Now in its ninth year, the popular show raises money for the Isabella and Marcus Paediatric Brainstem Tumour Fund.
Organiser Jim Overend told Big Rigs that the event went off without a hitch.
“We haven’t finished counting the money raised yet, but the show was definitely a success,” he told Big Rigs.
“We had thousands of people coming through, and hundreds of trucks, cars and bikes.
“The shopping centre love it because it brings so many people in.”
Overend said the show has really taken off in the past three years.
“The show has got a bit of a reputation now,” he said.
“People keep coming back. I don’t have to chase them anymore, they come to me!”
The show also featured trade stalls and an awards ceremony.
Anyone who displayed a truck, car or bike in the show was given a raffle ticket, and thousands of dollars’ worth of prizes were given away.
Overend and his group of volunteers are looking forward to bringing the show back next year – you can keep an eye on the show’s Facebook page for more details.
