Truckies travelling through Brooklyn, Altona North or Laverton North this week have been warned of upcoming closures on the Princes Freeway between tomorrow (March 13) and Thursday (March 14).
As part of the West Gate Tunnel Project, the Princes Freeway inbound will be closed overnight between Kororoit Creek Road and the M80 Ring Road interchange, to facilitate the installation of freeway gantries.
Crews will be onsite from 10pm to 5am on March 13, 14 and 15, with detours in place.
“Please follow the on-road signs, check traffic reports and drive carefully,” the NHVR said in an update.
“Remember to pre-plan your trip and allow extra time if you’re travelling through the area.”
Meanwhile the West Gate Bridge will be closed overnight between Montague Street and Williamstown Road on Tuesday March 19, between 11pm and 5am.
The following ramps will also be closed overnight next Tuesday:
- Montague Street outbound, from 10pm to 5.30am
- Todd Road and Prohasky Street outbound entry ramps closed from 10pm to 5.30am
- Williamstown Road inbound entry ramp closed from 9pm to 5am
- Millers Road inbound entry ramp closed from 9pm to 5am
