Nominations are now open for the 2024 round of inductions to the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame at the National Road Transport Museum in Alice Springs.
If you would like to nominate a transport hero who has been in the industry for at least 25 years, you can do so online here.
The National Road Transport Museum says the objective of the awards is to “present a positive face of the transport industry to the broader community” by highlighting the significance of individuals and their contributions.
It shines a light on the achievements of those honoured, as well as the trials and tribulations they have faced throughout their working lives.
The Wall of Fame encompasses bus and coach operators as well as trucks, and covers all areas of Australia.
“It is just as much about the Aussie battler as well as the high achievers and they all deserve recognition for their contributions and efforts to ‘build Australia’,” the nomination form reads.
The induction ceremony for those joining the Wall of Fame will take place on Saturday August 24, as part of the Festival of Transport 2024.
All inductees and their families are invited to attend the festival, which includes many other events and functions.
