Eagers Automotive has strengthened its link with Hino Australia with the launch of a new dealership in the nation’s capital.
Canberra Hino is helmed by experienced dealer principal Mirko Milic in what is seen as an important market for the brand.
“Its residents, businesses and government departments are renowned for their commitment to the environment, so we expect our 300 Series Hybrid Electric light-duty truck to be extremely popular,” said Richard Emery, president and CEO of Hino Australia.
Milic, the former dealer principal of Canberra Toyota and Lexus, is excited about the opportunities ahead.
“The new dealership is centrally located on the former site of Canberra Toyota in Fyshwick – Canberra Toyota is well-known in the local community for its commitment to customers and after-sales service,” Milic said.
“This ethos forms the foundation of our culture at Canberra Hino where our team combines excellent Hino sales, parts and service knowledge with a skilled and experienced management team.”
The new dealership features a 200 square metre indoor showroom, an additional five service bays, a parts warehouse with an increased capacity of 4000 square metres, and a dedicated wash bay.
“Personally, I’ve enjoyed my return to the Hino family and the trucking industry – I loved my 10 years as general manager of Tory Hino and have more recently been a shareholder in a competing truck brand,” he concluded.
Hino Australia’s dealership network comprises of 65 sales and service centres nationwide.
