Adtrans Hino and City Hino are investing a total of $7.4 million in two new Sydney sites.
Adtrans Hino has opened a brand-new, purpose-built premises in Marrickville, while City Hino recently launched one of Hino Australia’s first satellite parts and service centres in Fairfield.
“Eagers Automotive and the Sutton Group – owners of Adtrans Hino and City Hino respectively – are important partners of Hino Australia, and we welcome their continued investment in Hino dealerships,” said Richard Emery, president and CEO of Hino Australia.
“These changes will provide significant benefits to Hino customers across Sydney with an additional 16 service bays and an increase in onsite parts storage of 37 per cent, leading to quicker service times, and increased and faster parts availability.”
The Adtrans move was spearheaded by dealer principal Mark Reynolds who joined the dealership 18 months ago.
The new Adtrans dealership features an indoor showroom, an additional 10 service bays, and a parts warehouse which has more than doubled in capacity.
The location was chosen for its close proximity to the airport and major arterials, allowing customers convenient access to the dealership for their servicing needs.
“The improved efficiencies and productivity of the service department including onsite brake testing, wheel alignment and weighbridge will benefit our customers with quicker service times including same day service,” Reynolds said.
“Customers who choose to wait can enjoy our new lounge facilities including desks, computers and a full kitchen.
“Additionally, we now have two breakdown vehicles that support our customers 24/7 with break-downs, and customers can safely drop off and pick up vehicles on a 24/7 basis at their convenience.”
City Hino’s new $1 million Hino Hub in Fairfield East is in addition to its $5 milllion investment to the Arndell Park dealership in late 2023.
“As our truck park continues to increase, it is essential that we provide our customers with increased options and accessibility for their parts and servicing requirements,” said Daniel Glynn, general manager of City Hino.
The 5000 square metre Fairfield East Hino Hub features a workshop purpose-built for trucking maintenance with 10 service bays and three new hoists for fast servicing, plus over 1100 locations for parts storage.
“We are an Authorised Inspection Centre, offering our customers convenience and minimising their downtime,” he continued.
“It is conveniently located close to major arterials and Hino’s Parts Distribution Centre.”
The Arndell Park upgrades in 2023 included a newly constructed parts warehouse increasing parts storage by 300 per cent with specialised racking designed for the trucking industry including storage for full cabs.
City Hino also added an additional four work bays and new 14- and 35-tonne hoists.
Hino Australia’s dealership network comprises of over 65 sales and service centres nationwide.
