Healthy Heads offering free health screenings to WA truckies

Healthy Heads will be holding several roadshows in Western Australia over the next few weeks, offering free health screenings to truckies and warehouse staff.

Transport industry workers can also pick up some tips on mental health and wellbeing, and avail of resources to help look after themselves and their team.

Worksite Fitness and Rehabilitation (WFR) is working with Healthy Heads as its health check provider, and has over 25 years of experience providing workplace wellbeing programs across the areas of physical health, mental health and musculoskeletal risk.

Steve Gauci, managing director of WFR, said: “Health checks are an opportunity to talk to drivers about their individual health, to help them understand any personal risk or underlying medical conditions that our tests suggest they should discuss with their GP or other professional health carers.

“WFR’s exercise physiologists can coach drivers about a variety of topics including nutrition, exercise, fatigue management, quitting smoking and disease management.”
